"I'm sorry, you've 'just' been a Mum for the last four years."
Sound familiar? We've heard it too. Or you might have heard something similar, which is why we decided to do something about it.
Regardless of the reason behind your career break, deciding to go back to work can be a very stressful one, and there are many things to consider. Although you have taken a career break and are currently, for example, 'just' a full-time parent, you know you still have so much to offer, but the feedback from some companies and recruiters has dented your confidence.
Don't worry - we are here to help.
The Returners' Tribe was set up because one of our founders - Miranda Gregory - experienced the stress, frustration and that feeling of hopelessness that returning to work can make us feel, and we decided that it was about time someone did something to help people returning to work.

We aim to give you all the advice, confidence and encouragement you need to return to work and, ultimately, to help you find the right job for you. Not only do we provide personalised advice we also run workshops and provide coaching on a range of topics designed to help you on your Return to Work journey.

On top of this, our sister company - GPS Return, works with employers to educate them on the benefits of hiring people returning to work and how promoting a flexible work environment is a win-win for everyone.
Meet The Team
Miranda began her recruitment career in Singapore in 2006. Since then, she has worked for both multinational recruitment agencies and in HR for a multinational software giant and, more recently, a Yorkshire-based consultancy.
Whilst looking to go back to work herself, Miranda realised that there was a wealth of employable talent across the UK who can only work on a flexible basis. Yet there seemed to be limited assistance, advice and support for these people. Since setting up The Returners' Tribe, Miranda has become passionate about helping people return to work and also educating employers about the benefits of introducing flexible working to their business.
When not working, Miranda loves walking in the stunning Yorkshire countryside with Simon and their children and generally prefers not to be too far away from cake!
Lisa began her marketing career over 10 years ago and has worked for both national and international organisations across a range of industries.

After having her first child, Lisa experienced a real shift in priorities and no longer felt that a 9-5 desk job was for her and put plans in place to set up her own business.

After the birth of her second child, Lisa decided to take the leap and set up Liontooth, providing marketing services on a freelance and consultancy basis.
Lisa's own experiences as a working parent, and those of people close to her, have led to a passion she shares with Miranda and Simon; in supporting people in their return to work journey in an environment and industry that they enjoy, with terms that suit them.
Simon started recruiting in 2004 and has since recruited across Europe and Asia-Pa working with some of the biggest companies in the world, from Google to GSK and HSBC to Shell.

In 2015 he realised that whilst there are a lot of recruitment companies out there, very few were thinking about the needs of those trying to Return to Work and even fewer were making a concerted effort to help. Since then, GPS Return and The Returners' Tribe were born, and he has committed himself to making it a normal part of anyone's career to have a break and to easily Return to Work.
A keen cyclist, he has recently raised nearly £30,000 for Macmillan Cancer Support by cycling 1,000 miles in less than 3 days. Simon is also a big Rugby and F1 fan although he is happiest when spending time with Miranda and their two children somewhere in the Yorkshire Dales.
